If you feel these natural characteristics may not suit your lifestyle or space, we kindly recommend selecting a different rug collection. As this information is clearly provided in advance, we are unable to submit manufacturer defect claims for shedding, plucks, or fibre loss.

Each Romy rug is handmade, meaning no two are the same. These artisan pieces often feature what is known as ‘Abrash’, which refers to natural variations in:

• Colour

• Size and pattern

• Yarn texture and stitching

These imperfections are not faults—they are part of what makes each rug truly unique. You may notice loose threads, mixed colour yarns, and natural fibre loss for the lifetime of the rug, all of which add character.

Care Tip: If you see stray fibres, simply trim them carefully with scissors. Do not pull loose threads, as this may damage the weave.

If you prefer a more uniform, flawless appearance, we suggest exploring machine-made rugs made from synthetic materials for a consistent and refined finish.
