Product Description:
The Rise Modern Plain Border Tonal Rust Rug radiates warmth and depth, creating an inviting foundation for modern and transitional interiors. Hand-tufted in India from a luxurious 58% wool and 42% viscose blend, this rug balances the soft resilience of wool with the luminous sheen of viscose. Its hand-carved low-pile border elegantly frames a gently raised central field, producing a refined hi-low texture and subtle sculpted surface. With a 10–15 mm pile height and dense, heavyweight composition, the rug feels substantial underfoot while exuding quiet sophistication.
Backed with a cotton-polyester foundation reinforced with latex, it ensures long-lasting structure and durability. The viscose fibres catch the light beautifully, creating a tonal play that brings the rich rust hue to life, shifting between soft copper highlights and deeper terracotta tones depending on light and perspective.
Rust – A bold, earthy hue blending rich terracotta, burnished copper, and amber undertones. The interplay of light across the viscose fibres enhances its depth, revealing subtle shifts from warm clay tones to deeper autumnal shades that give the rug a vibrant yet grounded character.
The Rise Modern Plain Border Tonal Rust Rug offers a striking balance of texture and tone, bringing warmth and refinement to any living space. The hand-carved tonal border adds subtle structure, while the viscose shimmer enhances visual depth and luxury. Handcrafted in India from a wool-viscose blend, it delivers comfort, durability, and an elegant finish. Supported by a cotton-polyester backing with latex, this 3.2 kg/m² heavyweight rug with a 10–15 mm hi-low pile is perfect for living rooms, dining areas, and contemporary interiors, complementing both neutral and rich décor schemes.
Important Note
The Rise collection features a viscose blend that naturally produces a light-reflective sheen. As a result, the rug’s shade will appear lighter or darker depending on the lighting and viewing angle. This rug also displays directional shading — the colour tone changes depending on how the pile is brushed, similar to the natural shading found in traditional carpets. For further examples of these visual effects, please refer to our additional images of the Rise Sand, Olive and Navy colourways. We recommend reviewing these before purchase to ensure the shading variation and reflective qualities align with your preferences.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations. Please review our disclaimers in the chatbot before purchasing.
