Product Description:
Based on traditional Nomadic Persian and Middle Eastern designs, our Nomad range brings traditional elegant designs in a stunning colour palette. Machine-woven in a Wool-Nylon mix with 6mm pile. Suitable for indoor use. Use of rug grip is recommended.
The colours and shades present in this rug include:
Terracotta – Serving as the dominant colour, it forms a rich, warm backdrop that gives the rug a grounding, earthy presence.
Ivory – Used throughout the central medallion and surrounding motifs, providing light contrast and highlighting the intricate pattern.
Soft Beige – Blended into the background and border, softening the palette and adding a slightly aged, vintage look.
Rust Red – Accentuates smaller design elements and floral outlines, deepening the warmth of the overall composition.
Sage Green – Found within the geometric details and border sections, adding a cool, earthy balance to the warm terracotta.
Olive Green – Woven into the floral accents, offering a natural, organic tone that ties the palette together.
Teal Blue – Present in small highlights throughout the medallion and motifs, adding a pop of cool contrast.
Charcoal Grey – Used sparingly for outlines and finer details, giving definition and depth to the intricate design.
The New Nomad Traditional Terracotta Rug features a striking geometric medallion design inspired by classic Persian and Middle Eastern rug artistry. The harmonious interplay of Terracotta, Ivory, Soft Beige, Rust Red, Sage Green, Olive Green, Teal Blue, and Charcoal Grey creates a warm and inviting palette perfect for adding depth and character to a room. Machine-woven in Egypt from a premium 80% wool, 20% nylon blend, this rug boasts a Low Profile 6mm textured loop pile with a jute backing, offering durability, resilience, and a comfortably tactile finish underfoot. Ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, and cosy snug areas, this rug pairs beautifully with neutral décor or warm wood tones, making it a versatile choice for traditional and modern interiors alike. A rug grip is recommended to prevent slipping and keep the rug securely in place.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations.
