Product Description:
Crafted in India from 93% hand-spun wool and 7% cotton, the Napa Tumbla Natural Beige Wool Rug celebrates the raw beauty of natural fibres through its hand-woven construction. The design features a softly structured geometric layout, where gentle tonal contrasts in Natural Beige and Sandstone create an organic block pattern. Each section varies slightly in tone and texture, reflecting the artisanal weaving process and giving the rug an authentic, tactile quality. The looped hand-woven texture adds depth and softness underfoot, while the low 10 mm pile and unbacked finish maintain flexibility and natural character. Every piece is individually made by skilled artisans, ensuring subtle variations that highlight its handcrafted origin.
Natural Beige – Acting as the dominant base tone, it provides a soft, warm foundation that highlights the beauty of undyed wool and enhances the rug’s organic character.
Sandstone – Subtly woven into the geometric sections, adding tonal depth and an earthy, grounded presence.
Light Oatmeal – Appears within the transitional areas between tones, introducing gentle softness and visual balance.
Flecked Brown and Taupe Specks – Naturally occurring within the hand-spun wool fibres, adding authentic irregularity and depth to the overall look.
The Napa Tumbla Natural Beige Wool Rug showcases an organic block pattern defined by tonal transitions of Natural Beige, Sandstone, and Light Oatmeal. Hand-woven from hand-spun wool with a looped texture and low 10 mm pile, it balances artisanal irregularity with modern simplicity. Perfect for Scandi, Japandi, and neutral-toned interiors, it delivers warmth, depth, and timeless authenticity — an effortless expression of natural craft and contemporary design.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations.
