Product Description:
Hand-woven in India from a premium blend of 55% viscose and 45% wool, the Henley Sage Green/Olive Grey/Stone Taupe/Silver Rug blends natural warmth with a soft, light-catching sheen. Constructed in a hi-low design featuring a loop pile wool base and cut pile viscose highlights, it forms subtle, irregular linear patterns that shift beautifully in tone as light moves across the surface. The interplay of fibres creates both tactile depth and gentle lustre, delivering an organic, contemporary elegance. Due to the viscose shimmer and reflective qualities, Henley rugs will appear lighter or darker depending on the viewing angle and how the pile is brushed.
Sage Green – The dominant hue, offering a calm, nature-inspired warmth that feels fresh and grounding.
Olive Grey – Blended through the wool base to add muted depth and tonal variation.
Stone Taupe – Present within the woven foundation, introducing a soft, earthy undertone.
Soft Silver Viscose – Used in the raised cut pile to reflect light and highlight the linear pattern with subtle shimmer.
The Henley Sage Green/Olive Grey/Stone Taupe/Silver Rug is a sophisticated expression of texture, tone, and balance, brought to life through its hi-low cut-and-loop weave. The layered mix of Sage Green, Olive Grey, Stone Taupe, and Soft Silver Viscose creates an elegant, tonal harmony inspired by natural hues. With a 10mm pile, it offers a plush, soft touch underfoot while maintaining durability and resilience. The viscose fibres reflect light delicately, creating soft tonal shifts that change throughout the day. The looped wool base grounds the design with a natural texture, complementing the lustrous sheen above. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and calming modern spaces, this piece pairs beautifully with neutral, wood, and botanical interiors.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations. | Care Instructions | Please use a suction only vacuum cleaner as a beater-bar vacuum cleaner could damage the pile. Do not spill liquids as this will damage the pile. Never rub a spill, only blot with a clean white cotton cloth. If a stain cannot be removed seek specialist advice. Do not machine wash. We recommend the use of an anti-slip pad to reduce trip hazards and protect the floor surface. To protect the colours, keep away from direct sunlight. Keep away from fire. |
