Product Description:
Hand-woven in India from a luxurious blend of 55% viscose and 45% wool, the Henley Petrol Blue/Charcoal Grey/Steel Blue/Slate Grey Rug perfectly balances depth, texture, and lustrous sheen. Constructed with a hi-low weave, it features a loop pile wool base combined with cut pile viscose detailing to create subtle, irregular linear patterns that shift beautifully with light and shadow. The contrasting textures deliver a tactile surface that feels smooth yet substantial underfoot, making it an elegant statement piece for contemporary interiors. Due to the viscose shimmer and reflective qualities, Henley rugs will appear lighter or darker depending on the viewing angle and how the pile is brushed.
Petrol Blue – The dominant tone, rich and sophisticated, combining deep blue and slate-grey undertones for a moody, modern feel.
Charcoal Grey – Interwoven through the loop pile to add depth and contrast, grounding the cooler tones beautifully.
Steel Blue – Softly blended throughout the viscose highlights, creating a gentle shimmer that catches the light elegantly.
Slate Grey Wool Base – Present beneath the surface texture, enhancing the organic structure and creating tonal variation.
Light-Reflective Viscose – The high-shine cut pile creates soft highlights that shift with the light, adding dimension and an elegant sheen without introducing additional colours.
The Henley Petrol Blue/Charcoal Grey/Steel Blue/Slate Grey Rug embodies refined modernity through its hi-low cut-and-loop construction, where looped wool provides structure and silky viscose delivers sheen and movement. The layered interplay of Petrol Blue, Charcoal Grey, Steel Blue, and Slate Grey results in a tonal composition that feels both rich and contemporary. With a 10mm pile height, this rug offers durability, softness, and a gentle sheen that enhances both natural and artificial light. The viscose fibres reflect light dynamically, creating elegant tonal shifts, while the wool loops provide an organic, tactile balance. Perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, and modern open-plan spaces, the Henley Petrol Blue adds a touch of understated drama, pairing beautifully with dark woods, metallic accents, and minimalist furnishings.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations. | Care Instructions | Please use a suction only vacuum cleaner as a beater-bar vacuum cleaner could damage the pile. Do not spill liquids as this will damage the pile. Never rub a spill, only blot with a clean white cotton cloth. If a stain cannot be removed seek specialist advice. Do not machine wash. We recommend the use of an anti-slip pad to reduce trip hazards and protect the floor surface. To protect the colours, keep away from direct sunlight. Keep away from fire. |
