Product Description:
The Elm Silver Rug blends contemporary texture with timeless craftsmanship, creating a beautifully tactile centrepiece that feels as luxurious as it looks. Hand-woven in India using a high-density heavyweight blend of wool and viscose, this rug balances softness with durability, offering a naturally plush yet structured feel underfoot.
Its varied-size bouclé loops form an organic, dimensional surface, combining thick and fine yarns to achieve a tactile depth that’s rich in visual interest. The natural sheen of viscose highlights the woven structure, subtly reflecting the light to reveal shifting silver-grey tones that lend a calming sophistication to any interior.
Framed with a minimal stitched edge and woven border, the Elm Silver Rug is understated yet elegant, perfectly suited for Scandi-inspired, minimalist, or modern natural spaces.
Silver Grey – The primary tone, offering a cool, neutral foundation that feels modern and refined.
Soft Grey – Woven through the loops, adding gentle variation and depth to the texture.
Ivory White – Lightly interspersed throughout, creating highlights that lift the overall tone.
Pewter Undertones – Visible in the reflective viscose fibres, adding a subtle shimmer that enhances dimension.
The Elm Modern Plain Hand-Woven Chunky Textured Varied Size Bouclé High-Density Heavyweight Wool & Viscose Mix Silver Rug combines weight, texture, and natural sheen in a truly premium finish. Its 5.1kg per m² density ensures a substantial presence, while the 4mm low-profile bouclé pile provides a modern yet tactile feel ideal for layering or standalone use.
The combination of matte wool and lustrous viscose produces an elegant interplay of light and shadow, creating a silvery surface that transitions beautifully throughout the day. Perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, and contemporary open-plan spaces, the Elm Silver Rug embodies organic luxury with a refined modern edge.
The Elm collection celebrates craftsmanship through tactile looped textures, heavyweight construction, and versatile neutral tones, offering a modern take on hand-woven luxury for the contemporary home.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations.
