Product Description:
The Ascot Pale Silver Grey/Platinum Grey Rug embodies contemporary elegance, offering a perfect blend of soft texture and refined sheen. Hand-woven in India from a premium mix of 65% wool and 35% viscose, it balances the natural warmth of wool with the delicate shimmer of viscose, creating a beautifully sophisticated look for modern interiors.
The loop pile wool centre delivers a smooth, matte foundation, while the lustrous viscose border frames the rug with a subtle, light-catching finish. This interplay of sheen and softness creates a quietly luxurious aesthetic that complements both minimal and classic décor styles. Ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and formal spaces, it adds an understated yet elevated touch to any setting.
Pale Silver Grey – The dominant centre tone, offering a cool and versatile base with a soft, contemporary character.
Platinum Grey – Featured in the viscose border, adding a subtle metallic shimmer that enhances the rug’s depth and sophistication.
The Ascot Modern Plain Hand-Woven Wool Centred Loop Pile Metallic Shimmer Wide Viscose Border Pale Silver Grey/Platnium Grey Rug delivers a refined and elegant design defined by texture, tone, and craftsmanship. The Pale Silver Grey wool centre creates a calm, balanced aesthetic, while the Platinum Grey viscose border adds dimension through its reflective sheen, framing the rug with modern sophistication.
Crafted with a dense 3.7 kg/m² pile weight and 10 mm height, the Ascot collection combines tactile luxury with exceptional durability. Each rug is hand-finished by skilled artisans, resulting in subtle natural variations that make every piece unique.
With its versatile tone, contemporary texture, and subtle lustre, the Ascot Silver Rug is a timeless choice for elegant, light-toned interiors seeking a sophisticated, modern edge.
Please note: Due to the fine and delicate nature of viscose, the border will display irregularities, yarn variations and natural shading and shedding, with the appearance changing depending on lighting, pile direction and viewing angle. Viscose fibres will shed continually as a natural characteristic of the fine yarn material, including when touched or brushed by hand, while the wool fibres will also naturally shed. To help maintain the rug’s finish, avoid vacuum beater bars or rotating brushes and use a gentle suction-only setting.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations.
