Product Description:
The Ascot Warm Sand Beige/Golden Taupe Rug exudes timeless sophistication, combining natural warmth with a subtle, refined shimmer. Hand-woven in India from a luxurious blend of 65% wool and 35% viscose, it balances the softness and durability of wool with the delicate sheen of viscose, creating a beautifully elegant focal point for modern and classic interiors alike.
The loop pile wool centre provides a smooth, matte foundation, while the lustrous viscose border adds contrast and radiance, catching the light to enhance depth and texture. This interplay of materials creates a quietly luxurious finish that elevates living rooms, bedrooms, and formal spaces with effortless style.
Warm Sand Beige – The dominant centre tone, offering a soft, natural warmth that grounds the design and brings a sense of calm to any setting.
Golden Taupe – Featured in the viscose border, introducing a subtle metallic shimmer that beautifully complements the wool centre while adding depth and understated glamour.
The Ascot Modern Plain Hand-Woven Wool Centred Loop Pile Metallic Shimmer Wide Viscose Border Warm Sand Beige/Golden Taupe Rug showcases a perfect balance of texture, tone, and craftsmanship. The Warm Sand Beige wool centre provides a serene and versatile base, while the Golden Taupe viscose border frames the rug with a soft sheen that changes beautifully under different lighting conditions.
Crafted with a dense 3.7 kg/m² pile weight and 10 mm low pile height, the Ascot collection offers a plush yet durable feel. Each rug is hand-finished by skilled artisans, ensuring every piece has its own subtle variations that highlight its handmade character.
With its warm neutral palette, textural contrast, and soft lustre, the Ascot Sand Rug is a sophisticated choice for interiors seeking understated elegance with a touch of luxury.
Please note: Due to the fine and delicate nature of viscose, the border will display irregularities, yarn variations and natural shading and shedding, with the appearance changing depending on lighting, pile direction and viewing angle. Viscose fibres will shed continually as a natural characteristic of the fine yarn material, including when touched or brushed by hand, while the wool fibres will also naturally shed. To help maintain the rug’s finish, avoid vacuum beater bars or rotating brushes and use a gentle suction-only setting.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations.
