Product Description:
The Ascot Golden Ochre/Antique Gold Rug is the epitome of modern elegance and radiant warmth, combining expert craftsmanship with refined texture. Hand-woven in India using a luxurious blend of 65% wool and 35% viscose, this striking piece features a matte wool centre surrounded by a shimmering viscose border — a balance of texture and luminosity that adds understated sophistication to any setting.
The loop pile wool centre offers a smooth, tactile surface, while the high-shine viscose border beautifully catches the light, producing a soft metallic glow. This interplay of natural fibres and lustrous sheen creates a design that’s both minimal and indulgent, ideal for living rooms, dining areas, or bedrooms seeking a warm and inviting focal point.
Golden Ochre – The dominant centre tone, offering depth and richness with a soft matte texture.
Antique Gold – The lustrous border shade, shimmering gently to frame the design with warmth and elegance.
The Ascot Modern Plain Hand-Woven Wool Centred Loop Pile Metallic Shimmer Wide Viscose Border Golden Ochre/Antique Gold Rug showcases timeless design elevated by luxurious contrast. The Golden Ochre wool centre grounds the rug with natural warmth, while the Antique Gold viscose border introduces a subtle reflective finish, enhancing its contemporary charm.
With a dense 3.7 kg/m² pile weight and 10 mm height, Ascot provides both comfort and durability, reflecting the craftsmanship of hand-woven artistry. The result is a refined statement piece that brings light, texture, and elegance into modern interiors.
Please note: the viscose border may show slight variations and fine irregularities due to the delicate hand-finishing process. Both wool and viscose fibres will naturally shed over time. To preserve the border’s sheen, avoid using a vacuum beater bar.
Blending classic simplicity with golden sophistication, the Ascot Gold Rug radiates warmth and luxury — a versatile addition for interiors where comfort and class coexist beautifully.
🐑 Handmade Wool Rug Characteristics
Our handmade wool rugs are individually crafted, so each one is unique with natural variations known as abrash in colour, size, design, pattern, yarn, stitching, and texture. Shedding is normal and expected with all wool rugs — sometimes lasting for the rug’s entire life — but it does not affect durability. Loose fibres and stray threads can simply be trimmed with scissors (never pulled) to avoid damage. These natural characteristics, along with mixed yarn colours, slight imperfections, and subtle texture differences, add charm and authenticity rather than being faults. Synthetic latex backing may create a temporary smell, and wool may have a natural, earthy scent which fades over time. If you prefer a perfectly uniform look, machine-made synthetic rugs may be more suitable, and any exchange will still have its own unique variations.
